You can find us at Girish Heights, up on the fifth floor in Flat 501. It’s a decent building in Nagpur. We’ve been here for a while now, handling things for the coalfields. The view from the window is mostly other buildings and the street below, but it’s alright. Nagpur gets really hot in the summer, so we’re usually just glad to be inside with the fans going. It’s not a big corporate headquarters with a dozen elevators. It’s just an office where we keep our records and talk to the people we need to. There are a few of us here every day, sorting through the logs and making sure the numbers add up. We keep things pretty casual. No one is trying to impress anyone with expensive furniture. It’s a functional space. We have our files, our computers, and usually some snacks on the table. Living and working in Maharashtra has its own pace. We stick to that. People drop by if they have business with the coalfield operations, and we just deal with them face-to-face. It’s a straightforward way to run things. We like being in this part of the city. It’s easy to get to, and everything we need is close by. We just do the job and go home at the end of the day. There is plenty to keep us busy without needing any extra fuss or polish.
