The Department Of Post is located here in Nagpur at Plot No 12. We are in Awasthi Nagar, right behind the Police Line in the Taklie area. It’s a busy spot, especially with the police line so close by. Our office is a straightforward building. We don't have any of the flashy signs or modern glass walls you see in the new business parks. It’s just a place where letters and parcels get handled every single day. The 440013 pin code is our territory. Working in Nagpur, you get used to the extreme heat, and our office is no different. We have old wooden counters and sorting bins that have been around longer than most of the staff members. People from around Awasthi Nagar come in and out all day long. It’s a community hub in a very practical way. We don't try to sound corporate because we simply aren't. We are just civil servants doing a job that’s been around for a long time. There are always stacks of mail bags waiting to be moved and the sound of stamps hitting paper. It’s a rhythm we all know by heart. We don’t have a mission statement on the wall; we just have a schedule to keep. If you are looking for us, just head behind the police line and you will see the building.
