You can find us on the second floor of Crystal Plaza, located at 276 Central Bazaar Road in Ramdaspeth. It’s a fairly well-known building in the area. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Rural Skills Foundation occupies unit 207. It’s a simple space with white walls that could probably use a new coat of paint. We have a few long tables and some basic chairs where people sit during our sessions. Ramdaspeth is a lively part of the city, so there’s always something going on outside our windows. We spend our time trying to teach skills that people from rural areas can actually use to find work. It’s not a fancy school. We don't have high-tech gadgets or a cafeteria. Mostly, it’s just us and the students, talking through things and practicing. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a weird rattling sound, so we just turn it off and open the windows for some fresh air. We deal with a lot of paperwork because of the nature of our work, so there are folders piled up on almost every flat surface. It’s a bit of a mess, but we know where everything is. We don't have a big staff, so everyone chips in with the cleaning and the admin work. It's a practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We just want to help people get a foot in the door and start earning a living for themselves.
