We’re based in Nagpur, specifically in Bamboovan Nagari. Our office is just a regular flat, number 13 in building 2. It’s not what you’d expect for an aquaculture business, but it works for us. We handle the paperwork and the planning from here. The actual ponds and tanks are elsewhere, but this is where the heart of the business is. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers and checking on the fish stocks. Nagpur gets incredibly hot in the summer, so we keep the fans going all day. It’s a small team, mostly just friends and family. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy sign on the door. It’s just a place where we get work done. Sometimes we have meetings around the kitchen table. It feels more like a neighborhood flat than a strict office. We started this because we liked being around water and fish. Now it’s a full-time job. It’s not always easy, especially when the water quality isn't right or a shipment gets delayed. We just take things one day at a time. We don't use a lot of big words or fancy business talk. We just know our fish and we know our customers. It’s a simple life in Bamboovan Nagari, and we’re happy with it. We just hope to keep growing a bit every year without losing that personal touch.
