Bhoyar Bandhu Cotton Mills Private Limited

We are located out in Kerdi, in the Nagpur district. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city. Bhoyar Bandhu Cotton Mills Private Limited is basically run from the family premises of Shri Dewaji H Bhoyar. Being in a rural area means things move a bit slower than they do in Mumbai or Pune. We are surrounded by fields, which is fitting since we deal with cotton. The mill work is hard and gets very dusty. Our family has been involved with cotton for a long time. It’s not just a business for us; it’s what everyone in the village knows us for. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning. We mostly sit on the veranda or in the front room to discuss the day's tasks. The weather in Nagpur is really something else, especially in the summer when the heat is unbearable. We start work very early to beat the sun. Most of our workers are people from nearby houses. We don't use much technology besides the basic phones. We keep our records in thick registers by hand. It’s a simple life here in Kerdi. We don't have a marketing budget or a website to show off. If you want to talk business, you usually have to find someone who knows the Bhoyar family. We just try to process the cotton as best as we can and hope the rains are good each year. It’s honest work and keeps the community going.
