Akshaydeep Social Foundation

Our foundation is based at House Number 146, Plot Number 71, in the Dhantoli area. It’s a fairly central spot, but the street itself is tucked away a bit. We don't have a big sign outside or anything flashy. It is just a house where a few of us meet up to plan things out. The office is really just a front room with a couple of old desks and some plastic chairs. We don't have any fancy equipment, just an old computer that takes forever to start up. People in Dhantoli know us as the folks who are always trying to organize something for the community. Whether it is a small cleanup or helping someone with their paperwork, we are usually around to help. We don't have a big team of experts. It’s just us, some friends and neighbors who have a bit of spare time. We often sit out on the porch when it’s not too hot and talk to whoever passes by. That’s usually how we find out what’s going on in the neighborhood. We don't follow a strict corporate calendar. If something needs doing on a Sunday, we just do it. It’s very relaxed and we like it that way. We aren't trying to be the biggest foundation out there. We just want to do our bit for the people living on our side of town. It is not much, but it's what we do.
