Our business, Agrilytics Consulting Private Limited, is tucked away in Flat No. 9 of the Jaidev Apartment, located in the Gandwana area of Nagpur. It’s a quiet spot, which is good for the kind of consulting work we do. We mostly look at the data and the numbers behind farming. It sounds complicated, but we try to keep it as simple as possible for the people we talk to. We aren't some big firm from a skyscraper; we’re just working out of an apartment building in Nagpur. The rooms are filled with desks and papers rather than anything fancy. We spend our days looking at how farms are performing and where things might be going wrong. It's practical work that requires a lot of focus. Sometimes we spend the whole day looking at charts, and other times we’re on the phone with clients trying to explain what the numbers mean for their next harvest. It can be a bit dry, but it’s necessary for anyone trying to make a living from the land these days. We’ve been here for a while, and we’ve gotten to know the neighborhood well. It’s a decent place to work. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know our way around agricultural consulting. We take things one day at a time and try to provide useful information without making it too confusing for everyone. It’s a steady job.
