Abhiruchi's Designer Wear

Our little shop is located at 500 Kadbi Chowk on Kamptee Road. It’s a busy intersection, so there’s always something happening outside the door. Inside, though, it’s a bit different. We deal with designer wear, but don't let that make you think it's a posh boutique. It’s more of a workshop where we spend hours huddled over intricate embroidery or trying to get the drape of a saree just right. The walls have some old mirrors that have seen better days, and the floor is usually covered in pins and small beads that have fallen off the tables. We’ve got a lot of different fabrics tucked away in cupboards, some of them quite colorful and bright. Customers come in for fittings, and there’s always a lot of talking and pinning things in place to make sure everything looks okay. It can be quite stressful when a wedding is coming up and a dress isn't quite finished, but we always manage to get it done. We’ve been at this spot for a while, and the local tea stall owner knows exactly how we like our drinks. It’s a lot of sitting and focused work, but it’s what we know how to do. Nothing too complicated, just us and our sewing tools here at Kadbi Chowk. Sometimes we get a bit behind, but we catch up eventually by staying late.
