Aamcha Adhar Foundation

We are set up here at Aamcha Adhar Foundation in the Jogithana Peth area of Umred. Our place is basically just a regular house, H No 7106, so it doesn’t look like much from the outside. If you are walking down the street, you might even miss us if you aren’t looking for the number. A few of us spend most of our days sitting around the main room trying to get things organized. It gets pretty hot here during the summer months, but we have a couple of fans that keep the air moving. People from the neighborhood drop in sometimes just to say hello or ask what we are doing. We don’t have any fancy desks or anything, just some plastic chairs and a big table where we keep all our papers. It’s usually a bit messy because there is always something going on. Sometimes the neighbors bring over tea while we are working. We’ve been at this for a while now and everyone around here knows where to find us if they need anything. It’s not a big operation, just a handful of local people trying to help out where they can. Umred is a quiet enough place but there is always someone needing a bit of support. We just do what we can with what we have on hand. Nothing too complicated really, just everyday work that needs doing. It’s mostly about showing up and being there for the folks in the peth.
