Aalambana Foundation

Aalambana Foundation is located at Plot No 148 in Pandey Layout, Nagpur. We use Flat No 1 in the Shivanand Apartment building. It’s a nice, quiet residential neighborhood, which makes for a peaceful place to work. We aren't a large organization with a lot of employees. It is mostly just a few of us who live nearby and wanted to start something to give back to the community. The apartment is quite small, so it can get a bit cramped when we have more than four or five people over for a meeting. We have a couple of desks and a computer that is a few years old, but it works fine for what we need. We don't really follow a corporate style. We just talk like normal people and handle things as they come up. Most of our days are spent talking to locals or writing letters. We don't have a big marketing budget, so we don't really advertise ourselves. People usually hear about us through word of mouth. We like it that way because it keeps things personal. Sometimes the apartment building is a bit noisy with kids playing outside, but we don't mind. It feels like we are right in the middle of real life. We are just trying to do our part without making a big fuss about it. It’s simple, honest work that we do because we want to, not because we have to.
