If you’re looking for us, we’re located at No-82/2 in the Siva Sakthi Mill Complex. Being in the Nagercoil Industrial Estate means we’re surrounded by a lot of noise and heavy machinery, which fits what we do perfectly. Vijay Spares is basically a warehouse full of shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. It’s usually a bit dusty, and there’s always that smell of metal and oil in the air. We spend a lot of time climbing ladders to find that one specific part someone needs for their machine. It’s not the kind of job where you stay clean; by the end of the day, our shirts usually have a few grease marks. The Sargunaveedhi area is always busy with trucks coming and going, especially near the Chettikulam Junction. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just a few of us who know where everything is located on the shelves. Sometimes we have to hunt through old crates to find what a customer is asking for, but that’s the nature of the spares business. We’ve got a small desk near the front where we handle the cash and the receipts. It’s practical work. We open early, close late, and try to make sure we don't run out of the parts people rely on. It’s a hot place to work, but we’re used to it.
