Shan Tools

Down in Tigri Bazar, that’s where you’ll find Shan Tools. It’s a very busy market area, so there is always a lot of noise and people moving around. We have a small shop here where we keep all our stock. It’s not a big place, but we pack a lot into it. Mostly, we deal with tools that people use every day for their work or at home. We get a lot of locals coming in, and also people from further away who happen to be in the bazar. The shop can get quite crowded in the afternoons. We don't really do anything fancy with the display; we just put the stuff where people can see it and reach it. Working in Tigri Bazar means you get to know everyone. We spend a lot of time chatting with the other shopkeepers and the regulars who pass by every day. It’s a community feel, even though it’s a place of business. We’ve been here for years, and the shop hasn't changed much in all that time. We just keep doing what we do. Sometimes it’s hard to find what you’re looking for in the piles of stock, but we know where everything is. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know we are here in the bazar. It’s a simple, straightforward way to run a shop. We show up, we open the shutters, and we help whoever walks in. Sometimes the weather makes the market slow, but we stay open regardless.
