Harshit Mega Store

My shop is G 6 in the Balaji Complex right here in Maulasar. It’s a decent sized store and we try to keep the shelves full of whatever people might need. The complex gets quite busy on the weekends when everyone from the surrounding areas comes in to do their shopping. Being on the ground floor helps because people can just walk right in without hunting for us. I spend a lot of my time talking to the regular customers who stop by. We aren’t a giant supermarket, but we carry a lot of variety for a local store. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when a new delivery arrives and we haven't had time to put everything away yet. The lighting in the complex is okay, but we added some extra bulbs so people can see what they’re buying clearly. Maulasar is a good place to be. You get to know everyone’s name after a while. I usually open up early in the morning and stay until the last few people finish their errands in the evening. There’s always something to do, whether it’s cleaning the counters or checking the stock levels. It’s just me and a couple of others helping out. We don’t do any big advertising; people just know we are in Balaji Complex. It’s a simple life running a store, but it keeps us busy and involved with the neighbors every single day.
