Mango Foods Sweets & Snacks

At Mango Foods Sweets & Snacks, we spend most of our time in the kitchen area. We are located at 20-22 in Bc Colony, which is right in Kosigi village. Being in a mandal like this, everyone pretty much knows everyone else. We make a variety of snacks and sweets that people pick up throughout the day. The smell of frying and sugar is usually around the shop. It is a simple setup with some counters and storage bins for the food. We use recipes that have been around for a while. Sometimes we run out of certain items early if there is a festival or a local event going on in the village. It gets quite warm near the stoves, especially in the summer months. We do not have a fancy storefront, just a place where the food is fresh and ready. People from around the colony drop by to see what we have made for the day. It is a lot of manual work, stirring big pots and packing things into bags. The floor usually has a bit of flour on it by noon. We just keep things moving and try to stay organized. It is a local business through and through. We like living and working in Kosigi because it is where our roots are. Nothing fancy, just good food for the neighbors and people passing through the district. We usually start our cooking early in the morning before the sun gets too hot.
