Kiran General Store

The store is right at 56-2-877 on Kadthal Road in Shadnagar. It is a busy little spot because everyone passes by here on their way home. We keep the shelves stocked with whatever people seem to need most, from soap and oil to snacks and pulses. It gets a bit crowded inside when the school kids come by in the afternoon looking for sweets or small items. There is always a lot of shifting boxes around to find things that got pushed to the back of the shelves. The floor is concrete and we sweep it a few times a day but dust always finds its way in from the road traffic. We are open pretty early and stay late until the last few people finish their shopping. Sometimes we run out of common things and have to tell customers to come back tomorrow after the delivery truck arrives. The Kadthal Road traffic can be a headache during the rush hour but it brings people in. We know most of the faces that walk through the door and we have been here long enough to see kids grow up. It is just a regular shop where people get their daily things and maybe chat for a minute if it isn't too busy. We don't have fancy displays or anything. Just items on shelves and a wooden counter where we do the math on a notepad.
