Gayatri Engineering Consultants is run out of Week End Homes in Butterfly City, Kadthal. The office is at C/O P V Sanyasi Rao, house number 16/23. It’s a bit of a different setup since it’s in a residential development, but it works for the kind of consulting we do. We spend a lot of our time looking at site plans and technical drawings. It’s much quieter out here in Kadthal than it would be in the middle of the city. We don’t have a big staff of engineers in suits. It’s mostly just sitting at the table with some coffee, going over the numbers and making sure everything complies with the regulations. We often have to go out to different sites to check on the progress of a build or to take some measurements. Butterfly City is a growing area, so there’s always some construction happening nearby. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist to greet you. If you come by, you’ll likely find us buried under a pile of blueprints or on the phone with a contractor. We keep things pretty informal because that's what we prefer. Our focus is just on getting the technical details right so the projects don’t run into trouble later on. It’s a steady pace of work and we like being away from the main city rush. We’ve been at this for a while and just take things one project at a time. It keeps our lives simple and the work honest.
