Shriram Enterprises

You will find Shriram Enterprises over at Plot No. W-48/49a in the MIDC area of Nagapur, Ahmednagar. It is quite a drive from the main city, so it stays a bit quieter out here compared to some other industrial zones. The sun in Ahmednagar can be really harsh, so we have some thick sheets on the windows to keep the heat out. Our workshop is a double plot, so we have a bit more room to move around than some of our neighbors. We mostly do heavy work that involves a lot of grease and heavy lifting. The floor stays pretty dirty because of the nature of the jobs we take on. There is a small area partitioned off for the paperwork, but it’s mostly filled with old logbooks and spare gaskets. We started out with just one machine, and slowly added more as we could afford them. Most of them are manual, which means you have to really pay attention to what you’re doing. The guys here usually wear old clothes that they don’t mind getting stained. We have a small yard in the back where we keep some scrap metal and old crates. It’s a bit of a hike to get a decent meal, so most of us bring a lunchbox and eat together under the shade of the awning. It’s a simple life, working with your hands and making sure the day’s tasks are finished before the sun sets.
