Murugan Stores

We’ve been here on 2nd Street in NGO Colony for a while now. Being so close to the Uzhavar Santhai Road means things get pretty busy in the mornings when everyone is out buying their vegetables. Our shop is just a regular place where you can find the usual stuff you need for the kitchen or the house. Most people around here know us by name. It’s not a fancy setup with bright lights or anything like that. Just some old shelves and a counter where we spend most of our day. Sometimes the fan makes a bit of noise, but it keeps the heat away while we weigh out rice or pack up items. The road outside can get a bit dusty with all the traffic heading towards the market. We open up early because that's when the neighborhood wakes up. You see the same faces every day, which is nice. It’s just us working here, making sure the stock is filled up. We don't have a big team or a corporate office. It’s a simple life. We spend a lot of time talking to the neighbors who drop in for a quick packet of milk or some matches. It gets quiet in the afternoons when the sun is high, so that’s when we usually rest or check what’s running low. It’s a small shop but it keeps us busy enough.
