Murugan Food Products

Murugan Food Products is right on Bazaar Street in Mangalampettai. Being at number 14 means we are in the middle of all the noise and activity of the market. The street is narrow and always has something going on. We start our work early in the morning when the other shopkeepers are just opening their shutters. There is a lot of cleaning to do because of all the food we handle. We have several large pots and some packing tables that take up most of the space. It can get pretty cramped when we have a lot of orders to finish. The smell of whatever we are making that day usually drifts out into the street. People walking by often peek in to see what’s happening. Mangalampettai is a busy little place, and Bazaar Street is the heart of it. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us doing the cooking and the bagging. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't found the time for that yet. We mostly just focus on the daily tasks and making sure everything is packed correctly. The light inside isn't great, so we rely on the big front door for most of our brightness. It’s a honest way to make a living. You can hear the sounds of the motorbikes and the vendors shouting outside all day long. We have been at this spot for quite a while now.
