You can find Gemini Soda Company at 57/45 in the Mayiladuthurai Bazaar area of Nagapattinam. Being right in the bazaar means it is always crowded and loud outside. We fit right in with the rest of the shops. Our place is packed with glass bottles and the smell of carbonation. We’ve been here for many years, and the building shows its age a little bit, but it serves us well. We don't have any polished corporate talk for you. We are just local people making soda for the people in Nagapattinam. Every morning starts with a lot of heavy lifting. The bazaar gets busy early, so we try to get our deliveries out before the streets get blocked up with people and carts. We have a few old machines that we’ve learned to fix ourselves over the years. It’s a simple life, really. We don't have a big office or a fancy sign. Most people just know us by word of mouth. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait around, which is frustrating, but that’s just how it is here. We focus on our work and try to stay out of the way of the main bazaar traffic. It’s just us, the bottles, and the daily grind of keeping the business going. We wouldn't know how to do anything else at this point. The salt air from the coast makes the metal parts rust faster, so we spend a lot of time cleaning.
