Ganesan Traders

Ganesan Traders is right here at 12, Embakkottai, along the East Coast Road. It gets quite busy with the traffic passing by all day. We spend most of our time dealing with the inventory and making sure everything is where it should be. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoons, so we usually keep the shutters halfway down to stay cool. It’s a simple setup. We’ve got a few people working here who have been around for years. Sometimes the power goes out, which is a bit of a pain, but we manage. People stop in from the road, some locals and some just passing through. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. Just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of ledgers. My uncle started this place way back, and not much has changed since then. We keep the floor swept, but with the East Coast Road being so close, the dust always finds a way in. It’s just how things are. We handle the trading stuff day by day. Some days are slow, and we just sit and talk. Other days, three trucks show up at once and it's a bit of a mess for a few hours. We don't really do big advertisements. Most people just know we are here because they see the sign when they drive past Embakkottai. It’s a decent place to work, even if it gets loud sometimes.
