Bala Juice Shop

My shop, Bala Juice Shop, is located at 652, Melakottaivasal in Nagore. It is a small place, just enough room for me, my fruit crates, and the mixing machines. I have been here for a good number of years now. Every morning, I go to the local market to pick out the best fruit I can find. I don't buy in huge bulk because I want everything to stay fresh. If the fruit isn't good that day, I just don't make that juice. It’s as simple as that. The heat in Nagore is really something, so I get a lot of people stopping by who are just exhausted from the sun. I don't have any fancy seating, just a small bench outside where a couple of people can sit for a minute. Most people just stand around and talk while I'm peeling the fruit and running the blender. It gets quite noisy with the machines going, but it’s a good sound because it means I’m busy. I know a lot of the people who live around here. They don’t even have to ask; I already know they want lime juice with a bit of salt or a sweet pomegranate one. I don’t use any readymade syrups or anything like that, just the fruit and some ice if they want it. It’s a lot of work on my feet all day, especially during the summer months, but I like being my own boss. I close the shop when the fruit runs out or when it gets dark.
