Niki Baruah Photography

I spend a lot of my time around Nagaon, mostly near the Tata Motors showroom on NH37. It is a busy spot with cars and trucks constantly moving past, but it’s where I keep my gear. I started Niki Baruah Photography because I’ve always liked catching things as they happen, whether it’s a small gathering or just someone walking down the street. I don't have a big studio with all those expensive backdrops. I prefer being out in the real world where the light is natural. Nagaon has some nice spots if you know where to look. Most of the time, I’m just carrying my bag and looking for a good angle. My setup is pretty basic, just the essentials that I need to get the job done. I don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what I do. I just take photos. If a family needs some pictures or if there is an event near the highway, I’m usually around. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate and we have to wait for the clouds to move, but that's just part of the job. I’ve lived around here for a long time, so I know the roads and the people quite well. It’s a simple life, moving from one place to another with my camera. I try to stay busy and keep learning new ways to look at things through the lens. It’s just what I do.
