You can find us at House No. 44 in the village area here in New Delhi, Delhi 782001. We operate The Claremont Hotel And Convention Center from this spot. It’s a bit of a mix here, with the hotel rooms and the big spaces for events. Most days we are just busy setting up chairs or fixing things in the rooms. It’s a lot of walking back and forth across the property. Things get really busy when there’s a big convention or a wedding going on. We have to make sure the lights work and the carpets are clean. It’s not always easy keeping such a large place tidy, but we do our best with what we have. The staff is mostly local people who have been here since the beginning. We don't use big words or fancy talk; we just tell you where your room is or where the meeting is happening. Sometimes the plumbing gives us trouble or a lightbulb goes out right when we need it. We just fix it and move on. It’s a practical business. We’re tucked away a bit, so it’s not as loud as the main city parts, but we still get plenty of work to do. We spend our time checking the inventory and making sure the kitchen has what it needs. It’s just an honest day’s work for us.
