Supalla Foundation

If you are driving down the Morigaon-Nagaon Road and pass through Jaluguti, you might see House No. 109. That is where we set up the Supalla Foundation. It’s a pretty quiet area in Mikirbheta, mostly just families and local shops nearby. We didn’t want to go to a big city to start this. It felt better to stay right here in Morigaon where we actually know the people and the problems they face every day. The house is an old one, but it stays cool enough in the summer when the sun is hitting the road hard outside. We have a small sign out front so people know where to find us. Usually, someone is always around, sitting on the porch or working inside at the big wooden table. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment or computers. We mostly talk to people who stop by while they are heading to the market or coming back from the fields. It’s a very local thing we are doing. We noticed that a lot of folks here needed a bit of support with small things, and we had the space to help. It’s not a formal place at all. You can just walk in and say hello. We spend a lot of time just listening. It takes a while to get things done in a small village like Jaluguti, but we are patient. We just take it one day at a time. This is our home and these are our people.
