Chhath Puja Venerator Federation Foundation

We’re over here at Chhath Puja Venerator Federation Foundation, located at Bijioy Chauhan's place in Kheroni Chariali. It’s right by the Kheroni police station and post office. This foundation focuses on the traditions of the festival. We spend a lot of time working out of our spot in the Kheroni area. It is a quiet place mostly. Some of us have lived here for a long time. People around here know the location. We started this because the Chhath Puja celebrations mean a lot to the folks in this part of town. Bijioy Chauhan handles things at the office. We don't have a big fancy building or anything. Just a regular space where we can get together and organize what needs doing. It gets pretty busy around festival time. We try to keep things simple and local. Most of the people involved are just neighbors helping neighbors. If you are walking through Kheroni, you might see us around. We aren't trying to be some huge corporation. Just a group of people in Kheroni Chariali doing our part. The address is easy to find if you know the P.O. and the P.S. nearby. We spend our days planning and making sure everything is ready for the community when the time comes. It's hard work but it feels right for our neighborhood. We just take it day by day and hope it makes a bit of a difference for everyone involved here.
