Viaan Gruh Udyog

At Viaan Gruh Udyog, we operate out of Mandirwali Pole in the Santh Bazzar area of Junaraopura. We are quite close to the Dena Bank in the district. Being in a pole means the streets are very narrow and always full of people. It is a traditional way of living and working. We are a small home-based industry, which is what Gruh Udyog means. We started out very small and we haven't grown much in size, but we have grown in how much we can produce. Most of our work is done by hand or with very simple machines because there just isn't room for anything bigger. The bazar is a lively place to be every day. We hear the sounds of the market and the temple nearby all the time. It’s a family-run operation. My wife and my brother both help out with everything from making the products to packing them up. We don't have a big sign or any glossy advertisements. Most of our customers are people from the area who have known us for years. They come to the bank and then stop by to see what we have. It’s a very personal way to do business. We know our customers by name and they know us. We don't have any corporate goals or big plans. We just want to keep making things that people in our community can use. It’s a humble business, but it keeps us happy.
