Texttile

Texttile is located in Anand. It is a simple place where we deal with different kinds of fabrics and cloth all day long. We have been in this town for some time and most of us grew up around here. The work involves checking rolls of material and making sure everything looks right before it goes out. Anand is a good place for this kind of business because things move at a steady pace and it is not too frantic. Our daily routine is mostly about organizing the stock and talking to people who need specific materials for their own projects. The building we are in isn't brand new or anything fancy, but it works for what we do. We don't have a big office with air conditioning. Just a desk and some space to move the heavy fabric around. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with all the threads and lint in the air, but that is just how it is in this industry. We see a lot of the same people every week coming in for supplies. It is nice to work in a town where people know your name. We don't spend much time on the computer, mostly we are on our feet moving things from one side of the room to the other. There is a lot of folding and stacking involved in the afternoons. It can be tiring on the back after a few hours, but we like the work. Just a local textile spot doing its thing every day.
