Shivam Eye Hospital

Our hospital is over on Nana Kumbhnath Road in Nadiad. It’s a road that has been there forever, and we’ve been part of it for a good stretch too. The building is older, with high ceilings that keep it from getting too hot in the summer months. We have a lot of space inside, which is good because we have a lot of equipment for eyes. The floors are smooth stone, and they stay cool under your feet. We don’t have much in the way of decoration, just some plain walls and the equipment we use every day. Outside, the road can be a bit bumpy, and there’s always a few cows wandering by or a cart being pulled along. It’s a very local feel. Most of the people who come to see us have been living in Nadiad their whole lives. We know their families and how they’re doing. It’s more than just looking at eyes; it’s about catching up on the news in town. We keep a big jug of water in the corner for anyone who’s thirsty. The windows are large but we keep them mostly covered to keep the glare out. It’s just a steady, quiet place to work. We don’t do any big advertising. People just know we’re here on the road and they come in when they have a problem. The front door creaks a little when it opens, but we sort of like the sound.
