Santram Bricks Works

We are situated right at Pij Chokdi, along National Highway 8. You will find us right near the Reliance Petrol Pump. Being right on the highway means it is always loud with trucks and there is always something moving nearby. We have been here for a good while, making bricks for all sorts of construction projects. It is a rough job, especially with all the dust from the road and the yard mixing together in the air. We do not have a lot of bells and whistles at our site. It is just a yard, some kilns, and plenty of hard work every single day. Our days start before the sun is fully up so we can beat the worst of the afternoon heat. We get all kinds of people stopping by because they see our stacks from the highway. Some are just looking around, while others need a few thousand bricks for a big building job. We treat everyone the same. The machinery breaks down sometimes, and we have to fix it ourselves on the fly with whatever tools we have. It is not a clean job, and we definitely do not look like office workers by the end of the shift. We are just local guys doing what we know how to do. The bricks are out there in the sun, cooling off and waiting for someone to come.
