You can find the Radhaswami Spun Pipe Factory right on the main Anand-nadiad Road. We are directly opposite the Wagheshwari Co. Mill, which is a big landmark in the Mu. Po. Kanjari area. We have been making concrete pipes here for a long time. It is the kind of work that leaves you tired at the end of the shift. We have the big molds and the spinning machines going for most of the morning. The yard stays filled with pipes of all different diameters drying in the sun. It is a very hands-on process. We do not use a lot of high-tech gadgets; we rely on what we have learned over the years about mixing and pouring. The road outside stays busy with people traveling between the two towns, so we get a lot of dust and noise coming through the gates. Most of the workers here come from the local village, and we have a good rhythm going. We do not do any big marketing or anything like that. People just know we are here because of the stacks of pipes they see when they drive past the mill. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, like when the heavy rains turn the yard into a muddy mess, but we just work around it. We focus on making sure every pipe that leaves the factory is solid and ready for whatever drain or farm project it is meant for.
