Apex Industries

You can find Apex Industries at Shed No. C-3/12. It’s a basic industrial shed, nothing too special to look at from the outside or the inside for that matter. We have our equipment set up and most of the space is taken up by raw materials and whatever we are working on at the moment. The roof is made of corrugated metal, so when it rains heavily, it gets incredibly loud inside, and you can’t really hear yourself think. We don't have a fancy reception area or a waiting room; usually, if someone comes by to see us, they just walk up to the main door and shout for one of us. It’s a hands-on kind of place. We spend the bulk of our hours making sure the machines are running correctly and the output is okay. The floor is made of concrete and usually has some scuff marks or oil spots here and there from years of work. We’ve got a few old plastic chairs in the corner for when we take a breather during the day. It’s an honest way to spend the time. There’s a small window high up that lets in some natural light, but mostly we rely on the big tube lights to see what we are doing. The neighborhood is just other sheds like ours, so there’s a constant hum of industry in the air. We keep to ourselves mostly and focus on finishing the daily tasks.
