Ashit Fashions

Ashit Fashions is located in the middle of Dumral Bazar. If you’ve ever walked through the bazar, you know how packed it gets with shops and shoppers. Our place is one of the smaller units tucked between the bigger storefronts. We sell different kinds of clothes for the people who shop here. The shop is narrow and goes back quite a way. We have racks lining both sides and some mirrors at the back. It’s not a fancy boutique with air conditioning and soft carpets. It’s a practical bazar shop with bright tube lights and tiled floors. We spend our days talking to customers and rearranging the stock. Things get messy quickly when people start looking through the different sizes and colors. We try to keep it folded, but it’s a constant battle. The sounds of the street come right inside, so there’s always the noise of motorcycles and people shouting. We don’t have a website or anything like that. We just rely on the people walking by and the regulars who know us. Our storage is in a small loft area above the shop. It’s a bit of a climb to get up there, but it keeps the floor clear for customers. We’ve been in Dumral Bazar for years and know most of the other shopkeepers. We share tea and talk about the weather or how the crowds are that day. It’s a simple, busy life. Most of the time we stay open late into the evening.
