Tulis Salt

Tulis Salt is based in Ward No-2 of Raninagar Village, which is part of Chakdah. This is a quiet village area where things move a bit slower than in the big towns. We deal with salt, something everyone needs but nobody thinks much about. Our workplace is a simple structure right in the village. It isn't a factory with huge chimneys; it’s more of a local spot where we process and pack the salt. We have been doing this for a long time, and the people in Raninagar know us well. Usually, you can find us there from early morning until the sun goes down. The work is simple but it is honest. We spend a lot of time handling the white bags and making sure they are sealed properly. There is always a bit of salt dust on our clothes by the end of the shift, but we don't mind it much. We aren't interested in being a huge corporation. We just want to provide a product that is useful for the kitchens in our area and beyond. Sometimes the road to the village gets a bit rough, but the trucks still manage to get through to pick up the loads. It is a peaceful place to work, surrounded by trees and the normal sounds of village life. We just do our work and go home to our families. Salt is just part of our daily life and we take it as it comes.
