Nabadwip is a unique place to be based, and our office on Buroshib Tala Road is right in the thick of things. For those of us working at Simplex Infrastructures Limited here in Nadia, the day usually involves a lot of coordination with the local sites. It’s a pretty old-fashioned area, and our office reflects that in a lot of ways. We don't have the latest gadgets or a fancy lobby. It’s just a room with some sturdy tables and enough chairs for the crew. The sound of the town, with its bells and busy streets, filters in through the windows all day. We deal with the West Bengal climate, which means plenty of rain and plenty of humidity, but we’re used to it. The paperwork piles up just like anywhere else, but there’s a slower feel to the day here compared to Kolkata. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words or polished presentations. If you walked in, you’d just see a few people buried in their work, probably drinking some tea and talking about the latest bridge project. We’ve been at this address for a while and have become a small part of the local scenery. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of setup. We focus on what’s being built and making sure the foundations are right. Everything else is just secondary to the actual work we do every day.
