About Sia Dryfruits & Spices (Opc) Private Limited – Exim Trade in Nadia
Sia Dryfruits & Spices (Opc) Private Limited is tucked away over on Parbatitola Road, specifically at Ward Number 10. We share space with Sudhansu Karmakar. It is a busy little spot. Most of our morning is spent looking over bags of almonds or making sure the bags of turmeric aren't torn. It isn't a glamorous job by any means. The floor is usually covered in a bit of dust from the sacks, and we spend a good amount of time sweeping. We have a few tables where we sort things out. Some days the shipment comes late, so we end up staying a bit past dark, working under those flickering lights. It gets hot in the summer, but we keep the fans going to protect the stock. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If you come by, you'll probably just see one of us moving crates or checking a list. Parbatitola Road can be a bit of a squeeze for the delivery trucks, but the drivers know the way by now. We’ve been at this for a while and the routine is pretty set. We focus on the simple things like keeping the dry fruits dry and the spices smelling right. It is a humble setup. We just do the work that needs doing every day. It's practical, it's tiring sometimes, but it’s what we do here in our part of the city. We don't use fancy machines for everything, just simple tools and our own hands.
