Shreemoti Boutique

This is Shreemoti Boutique, located out in Kanthalpuli in the Nadia district. We are right in the Burimatala area. If you know where Happy Home Primary School is, we are just a short walk from there. It’s a quiet enough spot most of the time, though it gets a bit noisier when the kids are getting out of school in the afternoon. We started this place because we wanted something local. It’s not a big city shop, just a small space where we keep our collections. Most of our neighbors stop by when they need something new to wear for a local function or just for daily use. We don’t really do much advertising, word of mouth usually does the job around here. The shop is small and we do most of the work ourselves, from cleaning the glass to folding the clothes after people look through them. Sometimes we get behind on things, but that’s just how it goes when you’re running a small business in a place like Kanthalpuli. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from far away, but for the people living near the school, we’re right there. We just keep things simple and try to have enough variety on the hangers. It’s a honest living and we enjoy being part of the community here. We spend our days chatting with regulars and keeping the place running.
