Shilpic Boutique

The boutique is located over in Kalyani, specifically at B-9/182. It is a nice enough area in the Nadia district, and we have been here long enough that the postman does not even have to look at the address anymore. It is not a huge shop, but we have managed to fit a lot of stuff into the space we have. We keep some racks of clothes out front and have a small area in the back where we handle all the alterations and repairs. Sometimes the place gets a bit messy with threads and fabric scraps on the floor, but we try to tidy up before the day ends. It is mostly just us chatting with customers who live nearby and making sure they get what they need. We do not really follow all the latest trends or try to be something we are not. Shilpic Boutique is just a regular local shop where people can come in and find something they like without a lot of pressure. On rainy days, the shop gets a bit quiet, so we spend that time organizing the shelves or catching up on our bookkeeping. It is a simple life running a shop like this, and we enjoy the daily interactions with the neighbors. We have seen the kids in the neighborhood grow up and start coming in as customers themselves. It is just a part of the local fabric of the town.
