Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd.

We are set up in Vill Shibpur, which is under the Birnagar post office in the Nadia district. This is in West Bengal, pin code 741127. Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd. has this small base here to manage our local activities. It’s a very typical village setting. The office is located in a building that looks like any other house in the area. We don't have a big sign out front, just enough for people to know it’s us. Inside, it’s a bit cramped with all the paperwork and gear we have to keep. We spend our days tracking progress and talking to the site crews. It’s not a place for meetings with fancy clients. It’s more of a hub for the people actually doing the work. The weather can be a bit unpredictable, so we are always checking the skies. Life in Nadia moves at its own pace. We try to keep up with our schedules despite the occasional power cuts or slow days. Most of the guys here wear plain clothes and boots. We aren't worried about looking like corporate executives. We just want to finish our projects. There’s a real sense of community here in Shibpur. We see the same faces every day. It feels more like a home than an office sometimes, though there’s always plenty of work to keep us occupied. We just start every morning and keep going until the sun goes down.
