Saptadip Social Welfare Foundation

Saptadip Social Welfare Foundation is located in the village of Kastodanga. We’re over at Deb Dulal Roy’s place, which is part of the Haringhata area. It’s a typical village setting here. We have chickens running around outside and the sound of the nearby fields. Our foundation is just a small group of locals who wanted to do something for the community. We don't have a big fancy sign or a reception desk. Usually, we’re just sitting around a wooden table trying to figure things out. Haringhata is a nice place, but like anywhere, there are things that need fixing. We try to be the ones who help with that. We don't have any corporate training. We just use our common sense and talk to our neighbors. Sometimes the power goes out for hours and we just sit and talk in the dark. It’s all very simple. Deb Dulal Roy has been here forever, so everyone knows where to go if they have a problem. We aren't doing this for the money or the fame. We just live here and want to see our village do well. If you’re coming from the main road, just ask for Kastodanga and mention Deb Dulal’s name. Someone will show you the house. It’s a quiet life most of the time, but we stay busy enough with the work we have to do every day for our friends and neighbors.
