Saptadal Nidhi Limited

Saptadal Nidhi Limited operates out of Khalboalia in Krishnaganj. We are located at Sudhan Kumar Das’s place. It is a fairly simple setup here in the Nadia district. Most of us who work here are from around this part of West Bengal. We spend our mornings opening up the office and getting the registers ready for the day. There is a lot of manual work involved in what we do. We don't have those fancy computer systems you see in the big cities. Instead, we rely on our books and our pens. The 741508 area is where we live, so we know most of the people who walk through our door. They are our neighbors and friends. We talk about the weather or the local crops while we handle their savings accounts. It’s not a fast-paced environment. Things move at a bit of a slower crawl here, but that’s okay with us. We make sure everything is legal and by the book. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside, so we spend time cleaning the desks. We don't have a big marketing budget. Word of mouth is how most folks find out about Saptadal Nidhi. We just keep doing what we do, one day at a time, making sure the records stay straight. The work isn't glamorous, but it is steady and keeps us connected to the neighborhood.
