Quepro Welfare Foundation

Our location is in Bablagobindapur, over in the Tarun Polly area of Nadia. The base is at Chitta Ranjan Biswas’s house. It’s a pretty easy place to find if you’re from around here, but maybe a bit tucked away for outsiders. We aren't some big corporation with branches everywhere. It’s just us working from a small room in the village. Different welfare tasks come our way, mostly things that affect the families living nearby. There’s always someone coming in with a question or a form that needs looking at. It gets a bit crowded in the afternoons when everyone stops by after work. No air conditioning or fancy office chairs are found here. Most of the time, the windows are kept wide open to catch a breeze. Staying organized is the goal, but with so much going on, the desk gets messy pretty fast. It’s a grassroots kind of thing. We know the people we’re helping by their first names. Big mission statements aren't printed on the wall here. We just know what needs to be done today and we try to do it before the sun goes down. A lot of walking and talking and listening to people’s stories fills our time. That’s just the way things are run in this corner of Nadia. Everyone knows where we are if they need us, and we like it that way.
