PULLIUNNAYAN NIDHI LIMITED

We are located over in Nadia district, in a village called Anandapalli. Our office is set up at Mahadev Biswas’s place, which most people in the Karimpur area already know. It is a rural spot, so things move a bit slower than they do in the big cities. Pulliunnayan Nidhi Limited is basically just us sitting around a table handling the daily chores of the business. You can find us at the post office area of Karimpur, zip code 741152. The road gets a bit dusty in the summer, but it is home. We have a few cupboards for the files and a couple of benches for when people come to visit. Mahadev is usually around to oversee things. It’s a very local thing, we don't have a big staff or fancy uniforms. Most of the time, we are just dressed in our regular clothes, dealing with the paperwork that comes in from the village. Life in West Bengal villages is mostly about knowing your neighbors, and that is how we operate here too. We drink a lot of tea while we work and talk about the crops or the weather while getting the documents signed. It’s not a polished environment, there are some stains on the walls and the floor is just plain cement, but it’s honest work. We spend our days making sure the entries are correct and that anyone who comes from Anandapalli or further away gets what they need.
