New Allen Berry Works Limited , Kolkata-62

Our place is down in Ranaghat, tucked away on Ram Chandra Biswas Lane in the Nadia district. If you know the area, it is not too far from the station. We have been operating New Allen Berry Works from here for quite some time. The building looks its age but it holds up well. Usually, the morning starts with the sound of the gates opening and someone bringing in the first round of chai. There is always a lot of clanking and noise because that is just the nature of what we do. It gets pretty hot in the summer months, especially under the tin roofs in some sections, but we have enough fans going. We are a mixed group of people, some have been here for twenty years and others just started last month. We don't really do big meetings. Most things get decided while standing around the machines or in the small office area. West Bengal weather can be tricky with the humidity, so we take it slow when we have to. The road outside is a bit narrow, so trucks have to be careful when they pull in. It is a practical setup. We don't spend money on fancy furniture because the work is what matters. Everyone just knows their job and gets on with it without much fuss. It is a long day sometimes but we get through it.
