Najrana Groceries

Our shop, Najrana Groceries, is located in Amtala on Diamond Harbour Road. We are very close to K. E. Carmel School, so we see a lot of parents and kids every afternoon when school lets out. The road is always busy with buses and cars going back and forth. We keep the shelves stocked with all the normal stuff people need, like rice, oil, and soap. It’s a lot of work to keep track of what’s running low. Every morning we have to check the inventory and move heavy crates around. The floors are a bit uneven and the lighting isn't the best, but it works for us. We don't have any employees in fancy uniforms. It’s just us and maybe a helper or two from the neighborhood. We spend a lot of time chatting with the regulars who come in for their daily milk or bread. Sometimes we run out of things and have to wait for the supplier to show up, which can be frustrating. We aren't a big supermarket chain; we are just a local grocery spot trying to stay helpful. It gets dusty because of the traffic on Diamond Harbour Road, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the jars and cans. It’s just a normal shop run by normal people who want to do a decent job.
