Nabadoy Welfare Foundation

You can find the Nabadoy Welfare Foundation over at Sukumar Ghosh’s place in Sadhan Para. We’re right near Ghosh Para in the Bahirgachhi area of Nadia. It’s a quiet spot in West Bengal, and we like it that way. We aren’t running a big operation with fancy desks or glass walls. It’s mostly just us in a simple room, trying to keep things moving. We started this because we saw a lot of small things in the village that needed attention. It’s not about having a big name; it’s about the work we do every day. We spend a lot of time walking around and talking to the neighbors. People know where we are, so they just drop by whenever they have something on their minds. Sometimes we sit on the porch and talk for hours. We don’t have a lot of money, but we try to use what we have wisely. The registration was a bit of a headache, but we got it done eventually. We don’t use big words or make grand promises. We just try to help out when someone is in a tough spot. The office gets a bit dusty because of the road, but we don’t mind. It feels like a real part of the community here. We’ve known most of these people all our lives. It’s just about being there for each other in Bahirgachhi. We also try to help out with local festivals and events when they come around. It’s a lot of work, but seeing the village come together makes it all worth it in the end.
