We are out in Mahatpur village, right near the 9th Mile marker on the road. If you are coming through Chapra in the Nadia district, you will find us easily enough if you look for the sign. It is a quiet place compared to the big cities nearby. The air is different here and you can see the open fields from the back of the property. We set up this business because it made sense for the local area and the people living here. Most of the people around here know Joydeb personally. We spend a lot of time just talking to folks who come by the shop for a chat. It is not just about the business; it is about being part of the village life every day. We keep things simple with our records and how we handle the daily chores. The post office and the police station aren't too far away if we need anything for the paperwork. During the monsoon season, the roads get a bit muddy and things slow down quite a bit, but we just keep the doors open and wait for the rain to stop. We have a few benches where people sit and talk for a while while they wait. It is a slow pace of life but it works for us. We do not have any fancy technology, just the basic stuff to get the job done right. Every morning we open up early when the sun starts coming up.
