In Nadia district, specifically in the Mirgifakirabadpara area, you’ll find where Mritrika Nidhi Limited operates. We are located at Ingraj Malithya’s place. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say the whole address, but it’s home for us during the day. The office isn't anything special to look at from the outside. Inside, it’s mostly just us working through stacks of paper and trying to keep everything in order. The para is usually quite lively, so there’s always some noise coming in from the street. We don’t have fancy air conditioning, just some ceiling fans that hum all day long. Sometimes we run out of ink for the pens or the stapler jams, which is just part of the daily grind. We sit on these old chairs and talk about what needs to be finished before the end of the day. It’s a practical setup. We don’t spend money on decorations because we don’t really need them to do our jobs. Most people who come by are from right around the corner. We know the local shops and where to get the best snacks for the afternoon break. It feels like a small community inside these four walls. We just keep doing our thing, day after day, making sure the records are kept straight. It is honest work and it keeps us busy enough to not worry about much else. We just lock up when we are done.
