Out here in Village Gouranga Para, things move a lot slower than they do in the big cities. We’re located right near the Madanpur post office in the Nadia district. It’s a rural spot, so there’s plenty of greenery around our small office building. Most of the people working here are from the nearby villages. We do all our construction management from this little base. It’s not much to look at, just a practical space where we keep our tools and all the paperwork. In the monsoon, the roads around here get incredibly muddy, which makes moving heavy materials a real headache for everyone involved. We spend a lot of time talking to local workers and making sure everyone knows what they’re supposed to be doing on the sites. Sometimes the power goes out for a few hours, so we just sit outside and talk until it comes back on. It’s a simple setup. We don't have a website or anything fancy like that. Most of our work comes from people just knowing who we are in this area. We deal with whatever problems pop up, whether it’s a broken machine or a truck that got stuck somewhere. It’s a lot of physical work and standing around on dusty sites. We try to be fair with everyone we work with. The office is usually a bit disorganized with boots and hard hats by the door. We just get through the day-to-day tasks as they come.
