Maa Tara Food Products

You can find us at Plot No.- 56 on Bhagirathi Road, in the Narkel Bagan area of Chakdah. It’s a decent spot to work, although the road out front gets quite dusty when it hasn't rained in a while. We handle various food products here under the name Maa Tara Food Products. The building is just a plain, functional structure where we do all our sorting and packing by hand. We don't have a lot of high-tech equipment, just the basic tools that get the job done for us. Often, you'll see us sitting on the floor sorting through ingredients because it's just easier to see everything that way. The lights inside aren't the best, but we've worked here so long we know exactly where everything is kept. We don't have a sales team or anyone in suits. We just talk to the people who walk through the door or call us up. Sometimes we run out of things if the supply from the local farms is a bit slow, and we just tell people the truth about it. We don't try to cover it up with corporate excuses. It’s just how the food business goes. The trees around Narkel Bagan give us some nice shade during the hot months, which everyone in the shop appreciates. We've been here for a long time and most of the staff grew up just a few streets away. It’s a small, simple operation and we like it that way.
